License guide
3D models are shared under licenses that say what you're allowed to do — print, modify, or sell. Here's what the common ones mean. When you upload, pick the license that matches how you want your work used. When you download, always respect the creator's license.

Public Domain (CC0)
CC0-1.0Do anything — no credit required.
The creator waived all rights. You can use, modify, remix, and sell prints with no attribution. The most permissive option.
Attribution (CC BY)
CC-BY-4.0Do anything — just credit the creator.
Use, modify, remix, and sell — including commercially — as long as you give credit to the original designer.
Attribution-ShareAlike (CC BY-SA)
CC-BY-SA-4.0Credit + share remixes under the same license.
Like CC BY, but anything you make from it (remixes, modifications) must be shared under this same license. Commercial use allowed.
Attribution-NonCommercial (CC BY-NC)
CC-BY-NC-4.0Credit + personal use only (no selling).
Use, modify, and remix with credit — but NOT for commercial purposes. You can't sell the prints or the files.
Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike
CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0Credit, non-commercial, share remixes alike.
Personal use only, must credit, and any remixes must use this same license. Common on MakerWorld/Printables.
Attribution-NoDerivatives (CC BY-ND)
CC-BY-ND-4.0Credit, no modifications.
You can use and share the file as-is (with credit), but you may NOT modify or remix it. Commercial use of the unchanged file is allowed.
All Rights Reserved
All rights reservedPrint for yourself; nothing else without permission.
The creator keeps all rights. Typically you may print it for personal use, but not redistribute, modify, or sell without explicit permission.
This site's own code
The converter is open source under the MIT license — github.com/BedReady/bedready. That is also how the “nothing is uploaded” claim is checkable rather than merely asserted: the conversion path is in the repository, and you can read it. The licenses above are about the models people share, not about this software.
Note: MakerRun aggregates some files as links to their original source — in those cases the creator's license on the source site always applies. This page is a plain-language summary, not legal advice. For full terms see creativecommons.org.
